Hello, my name is

Diego Cass

Mechanical Engineer

About me

I am a detail oriented mechanical engineer ready to spring into action and work with others to generate change.

B.S. Mechanical Engineering

University of California, Santa Barbara 2025

Having spent 4 years at the University of California, Santa Barbara studying mechanical engineering, I am ready to trudge forward towards new goalposts.

Engineering has a certain charm that reels me into the field. My proficiency in math and the sciences proved engineering to be a no-brainer as a career path due to its combination of complex studies mixed with creative problem solving. Collaboration with others is a personal strong suit and, as a creative mind, projects, whether individual or cooperative, were always my favorite part of the education system.

Qualifications

2021-2025

UC Santa Barbara

Mechanical Engineering

I studied a vast majority of subjects within my major in search of what truly interested me. Having taken 56 total classes, 35 of which being engineering, there is almost no subject in engineering I haven't been at least exposed.

2020-2024

Twachtmann Industries, LLC

Machinist's Assistant

I was responsible for assisting the head machinist in organizing files, learning engineering drawings, AS9100 standards, and many more manufacturing tips along the way. CNC mills and lathes also became a familiar subject as I had the pleasure to operate these heavy and complex machines.
